In a society where atheist totalitarian rulers have been wreaking havoc to all aspects of people’s lives, members of the UBCV Buddhist Youth Movement stay focused with their ideals and on their commitment to spread Righteous Dharma.
In a radio interview on March 4, 2011, the nun Thich Nu Dong Tam from Danang said that members of the Buddhist Youth Movement continued to organize activities under extremely difficult situations.
Despite repeated sophisticated threats and schemes from the police to stop their participation in UBCV activities, members of the Buddhist Youth Movement in Danang City remained loyal to the traditional UBCV. Every Official Message and Teaching from the UBCV’s Institute for the Dissemination of Dharma, officially banned in Vietnam, has been secretly copied and shared among members of the Buddhist Youth Movement. Whenever possible, members gathered to discuss dharma teachings and further build up their willpower to protect the legacy of the UBCV.
